The Museu Tàpies presents Antoni Tàpies. The Perpetual Movement of the Wall, a monographic project that explores the artist's work through its exhibition contexts and formats. Continuing the research initiated with Antoni Tàpies. The Imagination of the World, the exhibition focuses on the 1950s, a key period of transformation in his artistic practice. The exhibition examines four solo shows held by Antoni Tàpies during this decade, each characterised by markedly different groups of works and display solutions. The project relates this production to broader debates of the time, including modern architecture, industry, graphic and editorial design, urban space and certain ways of life, offering new perspectives on the evolution of his artistic language.
